Birmingham is Britain’s second largest city and also known as the “city of a thousand trades”. Although the city doesn’t have a reputation for being scenic, visitors should go to interesting buildings. As an urban area with rich industrial heritage, Birmingham doesn’t have too many historical attractions. Fortunately, this drawback is more than compensated by a wealth of modern destinations, such as the Aston Hall, Barber Institute of Fine Arts, IKON Gallery, Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, Cadbury World, Sarehole Mill, Soho House and Museum of Jewelry Quarter. There are also many interesting parks in the city, including the Birmingham Botanical Gardens & Glasshouse, Cannon Hill Park, Birmingham Nature Centre and Lickey Hills.
