Whitstable is a famous coastal town known for its oysters. Whitstable’s harbor has a busy fish market, which also includes fish processing facility, boat storage area and cargo handling. Visitors should go to Whitstable in July to join the annual Oyster Festival, which is opened by an interesting parade. The Whitstable Museum and Art Gallery has portraits and items related to locals’ seafaring traditions. The Street is revealed only during low tide and as a natural pathway of shingle bank; many find it interesting to walk on it. Streets near the seafront and harbor are lined with stores, cafes, restaurants and buildings from 19th century.
